WEST ALLEGHENY TIP HOTLINE
AVAILABLE
FOR REPORTING CONCERNS
As an added safety
measure, the West Allegheny School District activated a 24-hour
telephone TIP HOTLINE in 2001. Callers may dial 724-695-5235 to leave
information they feel may impact the safety and well being of students
and staff.
The TIP HOTLINE is staffed on normal business days from 7:30 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. Before or after regular hours and on weekends, the caller
will reach a recorded message. Two options are available: The caller
may either leave a message or have the call forwarded to the local
police if immediate action is required.
While the caller is encouraged to leave a name, anonymous tips will be
investigated when sufficient details (i.e., names of those who have
made a threat or may be planning an incident, what the incident is,
and when and where it will occur) are provided.
