Clay Outside the Classroom

The 4^th grade students are working on a Native American Clay project “Clay Outside the Classroom”. This project, funded with grant money provided by the West Allegheny Foundation, will give students the opportunity to learn about the history of Native American pottery, create a piece of artwork out of clay and watch a sawdust firing that simulates how Native American’s would have pit fired the clay.
